Several workshops on the creation of puffs from the raw materials
- Pouf of plastic bottles.
Everyone can make it, for this take:
- plastic bottles of 1.5-2 liters;
- thick cardboard (suitable packaging technology);
- foam rubber;
- upholstery fabric;
- scissors;
- thread needle;
- Scotch;
- glue.
First you need to cut two equal round parts (or squares if you want to get a square ottoman) of the right size - this will be the top and bottom of the ottoman.
Note: on each bottle the cap should be tightly screwed. Secure each other with a tape, place it on the first circle so that it completely occupies its space. Place a second circle on top, make sure the elements are securely, evenly fixed.
Next, start finishing the product - cut out of foam rubber two round and one rectangular part, be sure to leave the stock on the allowances for seams. Strong stitches connect them together. Instead of foam rubber, you can use a synthetic winterizer, insulation or thick fabric, folded in several layers.
Manufacture ottoman case according to the above scheme.
You can also add a strap, through which you can easily move the product.
As a decoration on the seams attach buttons, rhinestones or border.
- Padded stool do it yourself from an old bucket.
To create it you will need the following materials and tools:
- jute rope;
- construction glue gun;
- cardboard;
- upholstery fabric;
- microfiber;
- stapler;
- large button.
With a bucket, remove the handle, put it upside down and tightly wrap the rope in a circle. In order to keep it well, each stitch should be planted on glue.
When the entire bucket is wrapped in a rope, proceed to making the pouf seat. From a thick cardboard make a circle corresponding to the diameter of the bucket. From the fabric also prepare a circle, but the size is 10 centimeters larger. Button on the center, combine fabric and cardboard. Microfiber shape the tube, wind it around the buttons between the cloth and cardboard, fixing it with a glue gun. Fill the cardboard base to the brim. The top fabric stapler should be fixed on the back of the cardboard. Now glue the part to the base and work on the ottoman is completed.
- Pouf of tires - a great idea to give or living room.
Prepare the following materials and tools:
- old tire;
- twine (at least 20 meters long);
- self-tapping screws;
- glue gun;
- varnish;
- 3-5 mm thick plywood sheet;
- jigsaw;
- electric drill.
First, you should measure the internal diameter of the tire until it thickens, divide this value in half and add one and a half centimeters to the result - you got the radius of the desired circle.
Draw it on a sheet of plywood, cut out with a jigsaw. You should make two circles - on the seat and the bottom of the padded stool. Then drill the holes in the tire and plywood, fasten the parts with each other with screws.
Now you can glue the rope to the tire. To give the product an unusual pattern, start from the center of the seat, placing the string with a snail.
Use a high-strength, transparent, quick-drying adhesive.
When the top of the pouf is completely plastered - proceed to the sides of the tire. To make the string easier to fasten, turn the product from top to bottom. After the first round, let the glue dry well in order to avoid displacing the rope.
Note: do not rush, apply a lot of glue, handle the future poof round and round. It is better if you work together - one will check that the rope lays down without gaps, and the other continues to glue.Working on such a pouf independently, you can easily allow the formation of gaps, perhaps a shift of the string from the surface of the tire.
When the glue dries well, cover the finished pouf with clear varnish.
You can decorate the product with legs or wheels.
