Baby bed dresser transformer to the rescue
The child must have a separate bed. Sleeping on a mattress, spread out on the floor, will be a real torture - hard and dusty. In winter, on such a "bed" you can catch a cold. An easy folding bed is not always an advantageous solution. It must be hidden, and the closet is not in every apartment. The tubular frame has a small durability and is rapidly loosened. The base for the bed by the folding bed is stretched and sags.
IMPORTANT! The base of the fabric or metal mesh is not allowed. This bed provokes curvature of the spine in a child.
The day bed “pretends” to be the usual bed for a child’s bed, and at night it turns into a comfortable sleeping place for sweet childhood dreams. The advantages of such furniture are:
- compactness - the folded bed takes up five times less space;
- mobility - unlike usual bed, it can be moved to any part of the room;
- simplicity and ease of transformation - thanks to a special system of joining the bed sections with preparing for bed and cleaning the bed, the child can handle it himself.
The basis of a berth can be combined - consist of lamellas, on top of which a dense fabric basis is stretched on spiral springs. In spite of its massive appearance, a bed for a bedside table makes this solution easier than other options by almost 10 kg.
IMPORTANT! A folding bed with a base on the slats, use only with a mattress.
The main disadvantages of the bed cabinets:
- suitable for children 5-7 years old and primary school children - a younger child needs bumpers to prevent falling to the floor;
- The metal folding bed structure is not designed for long-lasting high loads - an adult can bend its weight.
Light beds beds
There are simplified models that resemble a suitcase. The design of the bed of such a bed consists of three sections - two folding, equipped with folding legs and a middle one, which serves as the base of the cabinet with roller legs for easy movement around the room. One of the reclining sections is equipped with a headboard made of laminated chipboard, which turns into a countertop when cleaning the bed.
Dimensions of the bed cabinets assembled:
- width - 0.91 m;
- depth - 0.34 m;
- height - 0,99 m.
The folding bed is made of metal pipe with a thickness of 2 mm and a diameter of 25 mm, treated with a resistant anticorrosion coating.
The dimensions of the bed berth in unfolded form:
- width - 0.91 m;
- length - 2 m;
- feet height - 0.39 m.
It is convenient to use the assembled bed stand as a mobile bedside table near the sofa. In the presence of a cover such a folding bed can be stored in the utility room - it takes up little space and is easily transported, thanks to the roller legs.
Bed "two in one"
A more aesthetic solution is a collapsible crib bed. In appearance, it resembles a narrow drawer without drawers, standing against the wall. It consists of a rectangular box of chipboard, inside of which a folded metal bed with a mattress and a pillow is placed in the folded state. Some models are equipped with a front panel that folds down when folding the bed.
The curbstone has small dimensions that allow it to blend in harmoniously with the interior and not occupy much space in the room:
- width - 0.87 m;
- depth - 0.38 m;
- height - 0,99 m.
The dimensions of the bed berth in unfolded form:
- width - 0.8 m;
- length - 1.9 m;
- height of the legs is 0.27 m.
When assembled, the bed can be turned open side to the wall, thanks to the roller legs.
Bed "three in one"
The child must be taught to sit at the table - to engage in drawing, sculpt from clay, to perform the tasks of the tutor from the "zero class". For such tasks suitable multifunctional bed bed "three in one":
- height - 0.735 m - corresponds to the recommended values for children of preschool age;
- depth - 0.44 m - gives greater stability of the furniture in assembled form, the child will not be able to drop it on its side or overturn it;
- width - 0.97 m - increases the size of the table top when used as a table, allows you to build a more spacious bed and store a thick orthopedic mattress in it.
The bed “three-in-one” is a box of laminated chipboard with a two-section folding lid. When folded, it looks like a bedside table, the first section closes access to the cot, and the second serves as a tabletop.
To turn the bed into a comfortable table, you need to raise the front section of the cover and slide out the supports that will hold it in a horizontal position.
Despite the compactness, the dimensions of the bed are not inferior to a full bed:
- width - 0.8 m;
- length - 1.9 m.
To turn the table into a bed, lift the lid vertically, fold it in half and fix it with a special holder. Folding bed inside is easily disassembled, thanks to the successful design.
Choose a bed carefully
When choosing a bed, pay attention to the following details:
- weight - to prevent injury to the child if he decides to move or disassemble the bed himself;
- the width of the bed - the bigger it is, the better the sleep of your child;
- the presence of the front panel - closes the access to the child to the mechanism of the bed and prevents the ingress of foreign objects into the bedside table - toys, books, felt-tip pens;
- mechanism for folding beds - should be as safe as possible for the child;
- the presence of special sides to prevent the mattress from sliding down from the bed and the child falling from the bed to the floor;
- height of the legs of the bed - the shorter they are, the less likely to get injured when falling to the floor;
- the base of the berth should be reinforced with lamellae (latoflexes).
Carefully read what materials made folding bed. The tubular frame made of steel is more durable than aluminum alloys. The base must be strong and thick. Polypropylene fabric is well suited for such purposes - it has a high tensile strength, is insensitive to temperature changes and the effects of chemicals. Springs that pull her onto a bed should be galvanized.
ON A NOTE! Best sustained load base of textile.
Lamels - arc-shaped boards of curved wood veneer. They perform two functions:
- protect the spine from curvature;
- reduce the tension of the base of the bed when someone is lying on it.
Quality slats are made from beech. They should be wide (up to 7 cm) and thick (8 mm). Fastening to the frame is carried out with the help of special holders made of polypropylene or rubber (they creak less).
IMPORTANT! Do not allow the child to jump on the unfolded bed - the latoflexes can only withstand the uniform distribution of the weight of the child over the entire area of the bed.
And the mattress is harder ...
Manufacturers of bedside tables include springless mattresses. The mattress thickness for a children's bed must be at least 6 cm. It is made of a single piece of elastic and flexible material in a cover made of quilted dense fabric. Some embed the mattress in a bed - it is one with the base.
The most common material is hallcon. It consists of tightly packed polyester filaments, twisted into a spiral and fastened together with the help of thermochemical processing. Thanks to this structure, a flexible mattress quickly recovers form after a long load on a berth and does not squeeze.
If not, then be sure to purchase a children's orthopedic mattress. When purchasing, consider the following requirements:
- the difference between the width or length of the mattress and the bed of a folding bed should not exceed 3 cm;
- give preference to springless mattresses of medium or increased rigidity, which are less subject to spinal deformity and contribute to the formation of correct posture in a child;
- If you choose a spring mattress, check the softness and elasticity of the top layer of the mattress.
NOTE! A good budget solution will be a folding three-piece mattress made of polyurethane foam with a thickness of 7 cm. But it will need to be replaced after 2-3 years - the mattress is pressed through and does not provide an even distribution of body weight over the bed area.
Springless mattresses have a different composition. Outside is a thin layer of soft materials - batting, latex or memoriform. The side walls are protected by dense polyurethane foam sides. The inner layer, which gives the mattress the necessary rigidity, is made of coconut coir, struttofiber or holofiber. To reduce the cost of production, the underside in contact with the surface of the bed is devoid of a soft layer.
When choosing a mattress for a bed, do not be lazy to find out what material its protective cover is made of. It affects the durability and safety of the product.
The best materials for the cover are knitwear and jacquard, which less wear and wipe. Polyester does not pass dust, but does not provide ventilation and close contact with the sheet, which will constantly slip from it. Covers of calico and cotton better ventilate the mattress, but quickly tear.
IMPORTANT! The fabric of the case must be impregnated with anti-allergic and antifungal chemical compounds and provide protection against dust, which reduces the risk of respiratory diseases.
For better heat retention, the case is quilted with a spunbond or padding polyester. The outer surface of the quilted jacquard cover consists of large square cells that give the mattress an elegant look.
Revolutionary bed in interior design
A children's bed “two in one” and “three in one” curbstone is an excellent solution for small-sized studio apartments that do not have closets or utility rooms. It implements the principle of intelligent storage and economical use of living space. Inside the bedside table there is enough space for storing the mattress, blankets and pillows, and multifunctional use reduces the number of pieces of furniture.
ON A NOTE! Fans of high-tech or minimalism will appreciate the innovative solution.
If you want to comply with the design requirements of the room, then when choosing a bed should take into account the overall color scheme of the room. To create the illusion of space in the apartment of a small area, the walls, the ceiling and the floor are decorated in light colors.
To bed bedside harmoniously "fit" in the overall interior, follow simple rules:
- it should match the color of the room (two or three primary colors);
- consider your child's color preferences.
Children's beds cabinets are made of chipboard, laminated by imitation of wood species that have discreet soft colors - alder, oak, walnut, beech. But there are exceptions - cherry and apple. Some manufacturers produce beds in several bright colors.
If you do not find a bed of a suitable shade, paint it yourself. Pick your child's two favorite colors. One of them cover the top and front wall, and the other - sidewall.
Make a funny note in the design of the children's corner in small expressive forms. Buy for the bed thumbs "three in one" stand for felt-tip pens and pencils, a chair and a special mat-mat on the tabletop, painted in related bright colors. Lay under it a comfortable and warm rug. The boring bed curbstone will be transformed beyond recognition.
Pay attention to its location in the interior of the nursery. It is desirable that the bed stand was located near the radiator, but head to the door. You will solve two problems:
- take care of his health - during sleep the child will not inhale dry warm air harmful to the lungs, and his feet will be warm;
- provide his personal space - when you enter the room, the child sitting at the table will not have the feeling of being spied on him.
Baby bed cabinet solves the problem of lack of living space and provides the child with more space for games. Compact size, multifunctional use and thoughtful design perfectly embed it in a modern interior design. A solid base of polypropylene fabric, stretched on latoflexes, and an orthopedic mattress in a quality cover will ensure a comfortable sleep and will save your child from back problems, skin and respiratory problems.
